Dr Nicola Tallis - Uncrowned Queen: The Fateful Life of Margaret Beaufort Nicola is the author of six books on the Tudor period. She will be talking about Margaret Beaufort, the Tudor matriarch, whose determination and drive helped establish her son on the throne as the first Tudor monarch.

Dr Linda Porter - The Thistle and the Rose: The Extraordinary Life of Margaret Tudor Linda is the author of six books on the Tudor and Stewart periods. Drawing on Margaret's extensive correspondence Linda will share a compelling story of a misunderstood and underestimated Tudor monarch, whose determination to fight for the rights of her son, James V laid the groundwork for a future British state.

Melita Thomas  - Margaret Douglas: Matchmaker and Intriguer As half-sister to James V of Scotland, and cousin to the three later Tudor monarchs, Margaret Douglas exhibited all the drive, ambition, and intelligence of the mother and grandmother for whom she was named. Melita will trace her dramatic life which involved three stints in the Tower of London for what she claimed were 'matters of love', but which her suspicious Tudor family thought smacked of treason.
